Cancelling open bill by applying reverse transaction.
We select one (1) transaction of Bill with Open status in Bills and Adjustment module.
1. Open Bills and Adjustments form under Payables > Bills and Adjustments.
2. On the Bill and Adjustments transactions list, select transaction with Bill type and status is Open.
3. On transaction details of selected Bill, from Actions button click Reverse.
4. After you click Reverse, it will automatically create a Debit Adj. transaction with same details of your Bill transaction.
5. Unchecked Hold check box to make status Balanced.
6. Click RELEASE.
7. After releasing, the Debit Adj. transaction status will be Open. Then on Action button click Pay Bill/Apply Adjustment
8. After you click Pay Bill/Apply Adjustment, it will redirect to Checks and Payments form. Then on DOCUMENTS TO APPLY click Add Row.
9. After you click Add row, it will automatically add a Document type of Bill and in Reference Nbr. column you will find your Bill transaction wants to reverse or cancel. Select it.
10. After selected, it will add to the list of DOCUMENTS TO APPLY.
11. Click RELEASE, after that the status will be Closed.
12. After that, the Bill and Debit Adj, transaction will be Closed status.
13. The Bill with Open status will be cancelled out by applying Debit Adj. on it.
